Educational and consultative activities for empowering women in health care
Within the framework of activities with self-help groups, in cooperation with the Main Family
Medicine Centers in seven (7) municipalities of Kosovo, educational and consultative sessions
are being implemented with a focus on the health and well-being of women and children.

To date, educational and consultative sessions have been conducted with twenty (20) self-help
groups in seven (7) municipalities of Kosovo: Prishtina, Prizren, Gjakova, Ferizaj, Peja, Klina,
and South Mitrovica.
During these activities, lectures were held on newborn care and breastfeeding, emphasizing the
importance of early care and maternal support during this sensitive period.
In addition, informational brochures on cervical cancer were distributed, aiming to raise
awareness and encourage regular preventive check-ups.
In another consultative session, discussions were held on reproductive tract infections in women,
providing important information on prevention, symptom recognition, and timely seeking of
medical assistance.
We extend our gratitude to the organization โ€œConcordiaโ€ in the Ali Ibra neighborhood in
Gjakova, for their cooperation and support in organizing an informative session with women,
which contributed to increasing community access and participation.
These activities aim to empower women through information, consultations, and continuous
health education.
The project โ€œPromotion and Realization of the Rights of Roma in Kosovo and Albaniaโ€ is
implemented by the consortium of partners: Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS), Nevo
Koncepti (NVK), and Social Justice (DS), in partnership with Karl Kรผbel Stiftung (KKS), and
