On 01.06.2023 in honor of the World Children’s day June 1, the Municipal Children’s Assembly organized the manifestation of the World Children’s day in the Municipal Assembly environment, in the company of the director of Health and Social Welfare Edmond Hoxha , director of Administration Mr. Edin Shehu, director of Education Mrs.Luljeta Veselaj, Mrs.Mybexhele Zhuri, Director of emergency and security Mrs. Ramize Shala, Day Care Center NGO Pema Mr. Liridon Ahmetaj, Geographic coordinator from Save The Children Kosovo / o Mrs. Donika Bytyqi.
During the solemn session, the Secretary of the Municipal Assembly of children, Ardian Nerjovaj, as well as the president of the Children’s Assembly, Sina Grazdha, promoted the work of the Children’s Assembly and put forward their demands, for school safety, mental health, inclusion of gender equality and inequality in school textbooks. They also mentioned the children who could not reach education. Also one of the requirements is the employment of a coordinator for children’s rights in the municipality of Prizren which will strongly support the promotion, empowerment and respect of the law on Child Protection together with the mechanism such as the Municipal Assembly of Children.
Also, in the framework of today’s session, after the end of the solemn session, Pema day care center has opened the exhibition on the occasion of June 1, through photographs a part of the work and as a day care center β PEMA has been presented.
The solemn session was conducted in cooperation with the administration of the municipality of Prizren as well as the for Human Rights and Gender Equality as well as day care center -Pema.
