NGO ”Nevo Koncepti” within the framework of the project “Promotion and Realization of Roma Rights in
Kosovo and Albania”, during the months of March, April and May 2025, has organized meetings with
parents of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in 7 (seven) municipalities of Kosovo: Prizren,
Prishtina, Mitrovica, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjakova and Klina. The meetings with parents were held in locations
from where children attend classes in the 28 targeted schools.
The purpose of these meetings was to identify parents who are willing to be part of school groups to
help include children in the regular learning process, prevent school dropout and improve school
success.
This activity was carried out by the project “Promotion and Realization of Roma Rights in Kosovo and
Albania”, funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the “Karl
KΓΌbel Stiftung” Foundation (KKS) and the “Foundation for Open Society” (KFOS) and is implemented by
the non-governmental organization “Nevo Koncepti” in partnership with KFOS.
