Gjatรซ muajit tetor, OJQ Nevo Koncepti organizoi takime ndรซrgjegjรซsuese pรซr kancerin e gjirit me 26 grupe tรซ vetรซndihmรซs nรซ shtatรซ komuna tรซ Kosovรซs: Prizren, Prishtinรซ, Pejรซ, Klinรซ, Gjakovรซ, Ferizaj dhe Mitrovicรซ tรซ Jugut. Nรซ kรซto takime morรซn pjesรซ gjithsej 480 gra dhe vajza nga komunitetet rom, ashkali dhe egjiptian.
Nรซ bashkรซpunim me profesionistรซ mjekรซsorรซ nga Qendrat Kryesore tรซ Mjekรซsisรซ Familjare (QKMF) dhe Qendrรซn Rajonale tรซ Shรซndetรซsisรซ Publike (QRSHP) nรซ Prizren, u mbajtรซn ligjรซrata dhe u zhvilluan diskutime mbi rรซndรซsinรซ e zbulimit tรซ hershรซm tรซ kancerit tรซ gjirit, njohjen e shenjave paralajmรซruese, si dhe rรซndรซsinรซ e kryerjes sรซ kontrolleve tรซ rregullta mjekรซsore.
Takimet u ofruan grave dhe vajzave nga komunitetet rom, ashkali dhe egjiptian hapรซsirรซ pรซr tรซ parashtruar pyetje, pรซr tรซ ndarรซ shqetรซsimet e tyre dhe pรซr tรซ marrรซ kรซshilla nga profesionistรซt shรซndetรซsorรซ. Vรซmendje iu kushtua edhe mbรซshtetjes emocionale dhe solidaritetit mes grave pรซrballรซ sfidave shรซndetรซsore.
Nรซ kuadรซr tรซ kรซtyre aktiviteteve, pรซrveรง takimeve tรซ organizuara nรซ komunat pรซrkatรซse, u realizuan edhe vizita ndรซrkomunale me disa nga grupet e vetรซndihmรซs, me qรซllim shkรซmbimin e pรซrvojave dhe forcimin e solidaritetit mes grave. Disa grupe nga komunat ku zbatohet projekti morรซn pjesรซ nรซ takime tรซ organizuara nรซ Prizren, ndรซrsa grupe nga Prizreni vizituan Gjakovรซn. Kรซto aktivitete krijuan mundรซsi pรซr bashkรซbisedim, socializim dhe shkรซmbim pรซrvojash, duke nxitur mbรซshtetjen e ndรซrsjellรซ dhe forcimin e lidhjeve mes grave.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Awareness-Raising Meetings with 26 Self-Help Groups Across Seven Municipalities in Kosovo
During October, NGO Nevo Koncepti organized breast cancer awareness-raising meetings with 26 self-help groups across seven municipalities in Kosovo: Prizren, Prishtina, Peja, Klina, Gjakova, Ferizaj and South Mitrovica. A total of 480 women and girls from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities participated in these meetings.
In cooperation with medical professionals from the Main Family Medicine Centres (MFMCs) and the Regional Centre of Public Health (RCPH) in Prizren, informative sessions and discussions were held on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, recognizing warning signs, and undergoing regular medical check-ups.
The meetings provided women and girls from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities with an opportunity to ask questions, share their concerns and receive advice from healthcare professionals. Particular attention was also given to emotional support and solidarity among women facing health challenges.
As part of these activities, in addition to the meetings organized in the respective municipalities, inter-municipal visits were also arranged for some of the self-help groups, with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening solidarity among women. Some groups from the municipalities where the project is implemented participated in meetings held in Prizren, while groups from Prizren visited Gjakova. These activities provided opportunities for dialogue, social interaction, and the sharing of experiences, fostering mutual support and strengthening connections among women.
Through these activities, Nevo Koncepti aims to raise awareness of the importance of ongoing healthcare and to strengthen solidarity and mutual support among women from the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities.
