Informative Sessions on Womenโs Property and Inheritance Rights and Free Legal Aid
The non-governmental organization โNevo Konceptiโ, within the framework of the project โPromotion andRealization of Roma Rights in Kosovo and Albaniaโ, organized informative sessions for Self-Help Groups from seven municipalities (Prizren, Prishtina, South Mitrovica, Gjakova, Ferizaj, Peja, and Klina) on womenโsproperty and inheritance rights, as well as on the services provided by the Free Legal Aid Agencies (FLAAs).
Meetings were held with 27 Self-Help Groups, while in some cases, information was also provided through door-to-door visits, with the aim of reaching as many women as possible.
The topics presented during the sessions generated considerable interest among the participating women. In several cases, women stated that they intended to contact the Free Legal Aid Agency in their respective municipalities, as they had ongoing situations for which they required legal assistance.
The meetings were moderated by the staff of Nevo Koncepti, specifically the staff of the project, and the
discussions were interactive, with active and meaningful participation from the women attending. The meetings with the groups in Prizren were moderated by Ms. Fjorda Mujollar, an official from the Free Legal Aid Agency,Prizren Office.
This activity was implemented by the non-governmental organization โNevo Konceptiโ in partnership with KFOS and Social Justice, and was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Karl Kรผbel Stiftung (KKS), and the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS).
